The CAG can be removed on the same grounds and procedure as that of the Judges of the Supreme Court, namely: He can be removed by the President on the ground of misbehaviour or incapacity, after a resolution is passed by both the Houses of Parliament with a special majority. He does not, therefore, hold office during the pleasure of the President, though he is appointed by the President.
